Chieftain's Tent -
CorsairWhat you'll need...-Foamboard (or cardboard) for the base
-Citadel Spray Can lid
-Balsa Wood
-wooden skewer
-string
-PVA
- Newspaper
-Paints and other basing materials
Step 1:Glue the lid upside down to the Foamboard Base, Then glue 2 strips of balsa wood to it (this represents the entrance to the tent).
Step 2: I used a kitchen wooden skewer (available cheap in superstores - look in the BBQ section!) and cut off the point, then divided the remainder into 4 parts.
These were then glued in an X formation on the top of the lid, with the point glued onto this in the centre where they all meet.
NOTE: You can make the centre spike a bit taller if you want, you can then attach a banner to the pole for decoration and theme.
Step 2 - Part B:This is where the fun starts! Glue Some string extentions over the edge (making them relatively tight when they are on the ground, dipping all the string in PVA keeps it rigid.
NOTE: 2 more strings have been added and are shown in step 3. The 2 strings around the entrance are pretty important for defining an entrance point.
Step 3: Now start applying pva dipped newspaper over the tent, not important where at the moment...

Once you are done, you should have something like this:

As you can see the entrance was covered up and a sort of flap was added over the top area of the door section.
Step 4: Finishing off!Well, now you can paint it up and base it. If you want you could theme it with flags and Harad markings along the side of the tent. dependant of what you want...
The base of mine is generic so not really for anything. not deser enough for harad nor grassy enough for the pelennor. But its a nice piece nonetheless!

Just one more note: The Entrance section was wide enough for a single model to stand upon...

Many Thanks - Enjoy!
